BTS “Dynamite” is back to No.1 on the Hot 100!
Billboard has announced that “Dynamite” has risen back to No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart dated October 3. BTS became the first all-South Korean act to grab the top spot on the chart that ranks the most popular songs in the United States across all genres based on streaming, radio airplay, and sales data.
It was able to stay at No.1 on the chart for two weeks; it spent the 3rd week at No. 2 and is now back to No.1 on the 4th week.
The reason why BTS returned to the top spot was explained by Billboard by these statistics: 14 million U.S. streams (up 11 percent) and 153,000 downloads sold (up 96 percent) in the week ending September 24. The remixes BTS dropped contributed 52% to the overall chart data performance.
It also spent the 5th consecutive week at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart, and it also rose from No. 17 to No. 12 on the Streaming Songs chart. It’s risen from No. 47 to No. 42 on the Radio Songs chart, after the song garnered 20.8 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 8 percent) in the week ending September 27.
Meanwhile, BTS members are preparing for their upcoming album release “BE” which will be out on November 20.
