BLACKPINK Smashes Multiple YouTube Records With “Ice Cream” MV

BLINKs are working hard to stream BLACKPINK’s newest release!

On August 28 at 1 p.m. KST, BLACKPINK dropped their highly anticipated song and music video for “Ice Cream” with Selena Gomez. Fans have been trending many hashtags on twitter to celebrate the release and had plans to streaming the song and help it break records, and they’re doing just that.

At approximately 3:55 p.m. KST, “Ice Cream” MV surpassed 10 million views, it took it under 3 hours to achieve this record, it has become the fastest Korean girl group music video to reach 10 million views, BLACKPINK broke their own record which they previously held with “How You Like That” that reached the same milestone in three hours and 40 minutes.

Later, the MV surpassed the 20 million views mark; it took it around 4 hours and 21 minutes, they also broke their own record again for the fastest girl group MV to reach 20 million views, the previous record was held by “How You Like That,” which took 4 hours and 32 minutes for it to get to the milestone.

Next, they reached 30M views; it took the MV only 5 hours and 46 minutes to do so, again, breaking the record previously held by “How You Like That” which took 6 hours and 48 minutes to reach the same milestone.
