Another month has passed by, so many kdramas finished airing while some more are about to begin. September will be jam-packed with great kdramas, and today, we’re here to summarize the releases of September 2020 kdramas.

Note: due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19 cases in South Korea, many kdramas had to halt production, thus, some of these kdramas airing date is subject to last minute changes by the broadcasting station. Keep an eye on the blog, we’ll published articles if the any of these kdramas delayed its premiere.

“Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol”

The highly anticipated KBS drama was originally scheduled to air in late August, however, due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in South Korea and the fact that one of its actors tested positive, the drama halted production.

The plot: Go Ara will play the role of a pianist who has a bright personality, however, something caused her to go bankrupt, she’s now broke and frustrated with her situation. She meets a man named Sun Woo Joon (played by Lee Jae Wook), he doesn’t care much about what others think of him but has a warm heart, he’s free spirited and doesn’t have any goal. He works many part time jobs.

The two characters end up meeting at a small private piano academy LaLa Land.

Air date: “Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol” will likely air some time in September but the air date hasn’t been announced by KBS yet.

“Lies of Lies”

The plot: “Lies of Lies” tells the story of a daughter-in-law of a powerful chaebol family who suddenly becomes a murderer who killed her husband. After she gets released from prison, she tries to get her daughter back. She approaches a man named Kang Ji Min who has the custody of her daughter.

He’s a known reporter; she falls for him and attempts to marry him to reunite with her daughter.

Air date: September 4

“Record of Youth”

The plot: considered one of the most anticipated releases of 2020, the upcoming tvN drama follows the lives of young people in the world of modeling.

Sa Hye Joon is a smart nice guy and a popular model, he dreams of becoming an actor. He auditioned for many acting roles, but hasn’t found success yet. Meanwhile, An Jung Ha works as a make-up artist.

Air date: September 7

“Private Lives”

The plot: It tells the story of swindlers who come across a secret of the nation and they try to uncover that secret, to do so, they must go up against a large company

Air date: September 16

“More Than Friends”

The plot: The story revolves around a man and a woman who had a crush on each other for over 10 years. The female lead, Kyung Woo Yeon works as a calligrapher; she’s had a crush on Lee Soo who works as a photographer since she was 18 years old.

“Nurse Teacher An Eun Young”

The plot: It tells the story of a school nurse who has a special ability to see jelly like monsters made from residue of human desire; she eradicates those jellies using a toy knife and a BB gun. Meanwhile, Hong In Pyo is a Chinese language teacher at the same school, who has a special energy. They team up together to eradicate these jellies.

Air date: September 25 [all the episodes will drop at once since it airs exclusively on Netflix].
