Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won could be the next hot leads for this upcoming kdrama!

On July 27, a Korean news outlet reported that Ji Chang Wook And Kim Ji Won were both cast as the leads in KakaoTV’s short-form drama “Love Laws of City Men and Women.”

The drama is a love story with ‘urban sensibilities.’ And will be seen on Kakao TV platform, the filming will begin in October and will air in November. In addition to that, Kakao TV is discussing providing OTT.

There will be a total of 12 episodes that run 25 minutes each targeting mobile users; each episode ending will make you curious about the next one. The drama will be directed by PD Park Shinwoo who’s currently working on “It’s Okay To Not Be Okay.” The script will be co-written by Jung Hyun Jung, who has written the “I Need Romance” series and “Discovery of Love,” along with Jung Da Yeon.

Later, a source from Kim Ji Won’s agency SALT Entertainment told news outlets that the actress is in positive discussions to lead the role but nothing has been confirmed yet. If she accepts, it will be her first acting project since joining her new agency and the first one since the conclusion of “Arthdal Chronicles.”

Ji Chang Wook’s agency Glorious Entertainment also confirmed that he received an offer to lead the drama and is currently “reviewing it.”

Previously, “Arthdal Chronicles” delayed filming due to the current pandemic, and the next season won’t likely air in 2021, more on that here.

This will also be Ji Chang Wook’s next drama following the conclusion “Backstreet Rookie.” His current drama still has two more weeks to go.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Do you think they would make a good pair?

My Personal Thoughts

If this becomes a reality, this is a great pairing and I could’ve never seen this coming.

I didn’t expect wookie to return with another romance drama as soon as he concluded “Backstreet Rookie” but I am guessing it’s interesting enough for him to choose to return this year with it. The same goes for Kim Ji Won who’s last project was something entirely different.

Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won are around the same age and they would make an interesting couple if they both confirm for the drama. The format is interesting being only 25 minutes long and the PD behind this drama will be the same one working on “It’s Okay To Not Be Okay,” a drama that I am really enjoying these days.

We only need the script to be good!
