It has finally been confirmed!
On July 3, a Korean news outlet reported that Kai will be the next EXO member to debut as a soloist. Fans were super excited about the report but were waiting for SM’s confirmation which came shortly after.
In response to the report, SM Entertainment confirmed that Kai is currently preparing for his solo album, however, the exact schedule hasn’t been decided yet, thus, the date will be announced once everything is finalized.
This makes Kai the 5th EXO member to debut as a soloist after Baekhyun, Chen, Suho, and Lay.
Kai had previously shared about his plans to debut as a soloist in many interviews, fans are happy that the dream is finally coming true.
