TWICE is currently busy promoting their recent successful comeback “MORE & MORE” on music shows. And recently, the group took home an award on “Show Champion” but something attracted the attention of netizens and its getting a lot of mixed responses.

Usually, after a group takes home the award for that day, they sing an encore and there are no back vocals in such setting so fans get to hear how their idols truly sound without backing vocals like most usually have during stage performances.

Momo’s voice attracted attention at this specific encore stage for being shaky, watch the moment below at (2:30) mark. Momo even looked surprised by her own voice.

This was posted on an online community page and netizens began discussing TWICE vocals, here are their thoughts on this video:

you looked surprised too by yourself too, honey

they can’t do live

They’re fucking bad at live

I am not trying to be rude… but is she tone deaf?

I think this song doesn’t suit her vocals

Why won’t JYP allow her to sing in her own voice?

That’s too much, reallyㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Responses are mixed between those who criticized Momo for having lacking vocals despite being from an experienced idol group, while others believe this is an issue with the way JYP Ent. makes Momo sing.

What do you think of this?

  1. Its quite clear momo can sing because we have heard it before, jyp just had an obsession with all his singers singing in really high pitch and in reality, momo’s voice isn’t made for that
