Public criticism of 97-liners isn’t dying down any time soon!

Previously, BTS Jungkook, ASTRO Cha Eun Woo, NCT Jaehyun and Seventeen’s Minkyu were confirmed to have visited Itaewon ignoring social distancing measures amid the ongoing pandemic. The four idols released apologies through their agencies. Jaehyun and Cha Eun Woo posted handwritten letter to say they’re sorry again but it’s not really calming down netizens.

The issue gets deeper with Jaehyun and Cha Eun Woo specifically because of what they did after visiting Itaewon. The government had previously asked everyone who’s been in Itaewon between April 24 to May 5 to self-isolate for two weeks. The group had visited Itaewon on April 25, despite that, neither Jaehyun nor Cha Eun Woo self-isolated themselves.

In fact, Cha Eun Woo went ahead to promote with his group for their comeback, he appeared on various variety shows and is currently a fixed member of SBS “Master in the House.” Jaehyun also almost immediately returned to promotions after visiting Itaewon as an MC for “Inkigayo.”

Netizens expressed their concern that the two might’ve unexpectedly infected a number of people since they chose not to self-isolate after visiting Itaewon.

Both idols had also shared posts encouraging medical staff who are struggling on the front line yet ignored all social distancing measures, which added more to the disappointment of fans.

Thus, netizens have been posting messages on the official website for ‘Master in the House’ and ‘Inkigayo’ criticizing SBS demanding Eun Woo and Jae Hyun leave the programs.

  1. Although they’re right about it,they shouldn’t pressure the idols too much. They must have their reason for it and even if they visited it’s not like they acquired the virus. They won’t be too selfish or stupid to be infected and let their loved ones to be infected too. The netizens are always too harsh on them. It’s not like they are a robot without any feelings or emotions. I just hope that they are safe and healthy and not worry much.

  2. I dont get why people are saying that Jaehyun and cha eun woo should be kicked out because they ignored social distancing not knowing that junkook also did it too.Its not fair that if Jaehyun and cha eun woo are going to be kicked out even tho other idols like Junkook did the same so if their getting kicked out junkook should be kicked ot too with those other idols that did the same.

    1. I mean what’s wrong with you ? The whole thing is bullshit bcs they was no lockdown at that time ? Why must you speak of jungkook like that ? If it’s bad for eunwoo and jaehyun do you think it’s good for jungkook ? Did you even know what happened to him ? Netizens revoked to take from his his cultural merit ! Which is a humiliating thing (even more than getting cut from broadcast) ! Hence they are friends why would you put them against each other like that ? Seriously the whole controversy is shit and unnecessary and this is not a way to defend the others ? Please don’t be ungrateful.

  3. Totally overreacting!!! First of all, there was no shut down during that period of time and so they were doing nothing wrong. They apologized even though they did nothing wrong. They were tested and they were negative. These guys are human and need to be treated as such instead of put up on some impossibly high pedestal so that a bunch of so called perfect people get to judge them and try to ruin their lives if idols aren’t always up to their outlandish standards. Leave them alone!!
