SM Entertainment is the last label among the four to issue a statement confirming Dispatch’s report.
NCT Jaehyun has posted a letter to fans on his instagram account.
NCT Jaehyun has now posted a handwritten letter to fans to apologize for the controversy, he wrote,
“Hello, this is Jaehyun.
In a time when everyone is having a hard time, I am sorry for worrying everyone. Even during the social distancing period, I went to a restaurant and bar in Itaewon, I am deeply reflecting on my actions.
I am sorry for disappointing my fans who support me because of my actions. I am also sorry for creating disturbance to my members, staff and everyone at work.
From now on, I will deeply consider and carry out my actions cautiously.
I am sorry for worrying those who are having a difficult time during the COVID 19 pandemic and also sorry to my fans.”
Earlier today, Dispatch reported that BTS’s Jungkook, Seventeen’s Mingyu, NCT’s Jaehyun, and ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo were the rumored idols visited Itaewon clubs on April 25.
Following the report, Big Hit, PLEDIS, and Fantagio all issued responses to the report confirming that their idols had indeed visited Itaewon, they apologized and promised to manage their idols better.
SM is the last among the agencies to release a statement confirming the news; they began their statement with an apology for causing trouble. Like what the other labels have stated, SM explained that Jaehyun didn’t visit the club in question where the coronavirus case spread.
SM also added that Jaehyun has taken the test and it came out negative,
“Jaehyun is deeply reflecting on how he was not careful during the period when everyone was supposed to refrain from regular meetings, and keep social distance instead.”
They also apologized for not guiding their artists better and promise to work harder in the future to ensure such a thing doesn’t happen.
