YG Removes BLACKPINK Jisoo’s Name From Its Actor’s Division, YG Stage

Published Categorized as Kpop

In what-did-yg-do-today-to-piss-off-blinks we have a story that’s been gaining lots of attention and coverage by news outlets.

While browsing YG’s official website, fans noticed that BLACKPINK Jisoo’s Name was no longer in its YG Stage tab, a tab that’s dedicated to everything YG’s actors division.

Her acting profile is gone, up until recently, she was also listed as an actress on the website, but you can’t find her anywhere now. Fans are puzzled by the decision of the agency, they have been doing their best to put pressure on them to help get Jisoo more work, she’s one of the most inactive members of her group.

This adds, again, to BLINKs fury with the agency who keeps delaying the girl group comeback, many wish the agency would give Jisoo anything to boost her acting profile. Some are wondering if she plans on not renewing with YG, but that’s probably not the case because BLACKPINK’s contract is likely 7 years long (the industry standard) and will expire 3 years from now. Its way too early to tell.

The other interesting thing is that not only Jisoo’s name was removed from the tab. BIGBANG T.O.P and Daesang’s names were also removed. iKON’s Chanwoo’s name is also noticeably missing as well, while Dara’s name and WINNER’s Seungyoon remain up.

BIGBANG T.O.P and Daesang recently renewed their contracts with YG Ent. So its highly unlikely that they’re leaving. Fans are also puzzled that iKON’s Chanwoo’s name is also nowhere to be found.
