SBS new series “The King: Eternal Monarch” is up to an impressive start!
The highly awaited SBS drama aired its first episode on April 17, and according to Nielsen Korea, the drama recorded an average of 10.1% and 11.4% in ratings nationwide, which is pretty impressive. The drama has already surpassed the double digits in ratings with its first episodes alone.
Comparatively, its precedent “Hyena” premiered to 7.7% and 10.3%. “The King: Eternal Monarch”was also one of the most talked about topics on twitter peaking at number two in worldwide trends surpassing 80K in mentions, an impressive feat for a kdrama because they usually don’t trend worldwide.
The highly anticipated drama is the talk of town and fans are already obsessed with it, since its off to a promising start many believe it’ll continue to do better in ratings with each episode.
