“Meow The Secret Boy” is doing terribly in ratings so much so that it has broken a record!
The KBS series, based on a webcomic, ratings have been dwindling for a while now since it began airing. April 16 episodes broke a record, according to Nielsen Korea, “Meow The Secret Boy” recorded 0.9% and 1.1% in average viewership ratings thus becoming the lowest-rated drama from a public channel overtaking KBS “Manhole” which recorded 1.4%.
Its previous episodes didn’t reach the 0% range and it has been wavering around the 1% in ratings, “Meow The Secret Boy” is only halfway through its run. It has 8 more (1 hour long) episodes to go.
“Meow The Secret Boy” stars Kim Myung Soo, Shin Ye Eun, and Seo Ji Hoon, it tells the story of a romance between a cat who takes human form and a dog-like owner.
Have you seen “Meow The Secret Boy”? Do you think it deserves this rating?
My Personal Thoughts
While I don’t think “Meow The Secret Boy” is anywhere near the worst kdrama ever made, I understand the ratings in this case and its self-explanatory. A love line between a human and a cat is very creepy and disgusting to say the least.
I have a lot to say about “Meow The Secret Boy” but I reserve it for the review which I will post shortly on this blog. A part of me can’t believe this webcomic was made into a drama, how?
