Actor So Ji Sub (43 years old) has confirmed that he legally registered his marriage to former announcer Jo Eun Jung who is 17 years younger than him.
This comes almost a year after the announcement of the couple dating news. Back in May of 2019, the actor confirmed that they had begun dating, the two met for the first time in 2018 after Jo Eun Jung interviewed So Ji Sub for his movie “Be With You.”
After the news went public, So Ji Sub’s agency 51K entertainment coolly confirmed the relationship and said, ‘they’re in a serious relationship.’
After the initial article, some netizens began to speculate that So Ji Sub could be getting married to Jo Eun Jung, she quit her job and retired from the entertainment industry, and he was spotted shopping for an expensive ring at ‘Tiffany & Co.’ his wife’s official profile and SNS were all deleted from the internet.
On April 7, So Ji Sub’s agency released an official statement to confirm the happy news. They confirmed that they have filed their marriage registration on April 7; the couple has decided to forgo a wedding ceremony considering the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak.
The agency stated,
“In accordance to So Ji Sub and Jo Eun Jung’s wishes to keep this important happy moment of their lives quiet, only their close family members have gathered and they have decided to donate 50 million won to Good Neighbors to help children who are having trouble with education acquire tablet PC’s and smart devices to assist their studies.”
They closed their statement with a thank you to fans who have always shown support to the actor, they also asked for their consideration because the agency decided against disclosing more details on their marriage due to the status of So Ji Sub’s wife, a non-celebrity.
