U.S President Donald Trump has no love for the Oscars and thinks they’re ‘bad.’ He took time to actually bash the Academy Awards for giving Korean movie “Parasite” The Best Picture award, yes, you heard it right!

“Parasite” took home a total of four awards at the Oscars earlier this month including the highest of the night “Best Picture.” While the majority celebrated the win and praised the director and the cast of the movie, some, including the US president had an issue with it.

During his rally in Colorado Springs, Colorado on his journey to re-election for the 2020 presidential election, President Donald Trump mentioned “Parasite” and said that he couldn’t understand why the movie was given such an award.

He said,

“By the way, how bad were the Academy Awards this year, did you see? And the winner is, a movie from South Korea, what the hell was that all about? We got enough problems with South Korea with trade, on top of it, they give them the best movie of the year? Was it good? I don’t know.

You know, I’m looking for like, lets get like Gone With the Wind, can we get like Gone With the Wind back, please? Sunset Boulevard, so many great movies, the winner is, from South Korea. I thought it was best, foreign, film yeah? Best foreign movie. No, it was the b- did this ever happen before?”

He did get booed when he said it but it didn’t stop him from continuing to express his disdain for the Academy Awards, but “Parasite” wasn’t the only thing getting criticized by the president. Donald Trump also expressed his dislike for Brad Pitt as well.

Many people are calling Donald Trump a racist over his remarks about “Parasite,” you can check out the clip where he talks about this below:
