Han Ye Seul was wearing thick dark makeup and a new nose piercing; while international fans thought she looked great and different, k-netizens weren’t so kind with words. Articles about Han Ye Seul’s new look are currently the top trending articles on Naver and reactions on these articles aren’t as welcoming or nice as I would’ve expected them to be, its only makeup and piercing after all.
Of course, that doesn’t mean every single k-netizen thinks badly of the look, but many reacted with the angry emoji face which you usually see at the end of each article on Naver.
But why? Why are k-netizens being this mean? and why are they heavily criticizing Han Ye Seul’s right to express herself as she wishes?
Han Ye Seul didn’t do anything wrong or anything worthy of criticism, yet, many have left discouraging comments as if they owned her body and had the right to tell her what to wear and what not to wear, this is an issue with the entertainment business in South Korea.
