BTS “Black Swan” Tops iTunes Charts In 91 Countries Breaking “Gangnam Style” Record + More Happy News

A BTS side-track just did that!

BTS has released “Black Swan” on January 17. Various hashtags topped worldwide twitter trends as ARMY celebrated the latest BTS release which is part of their upcoming album “Map of the Soul: 7.”

They revealed an art film alongside it as well, which was also heavily talked about among fans and the media as well.

Ever since its release, “Black Swan” started breaking records, locally and internationally.

The song has surpassed the previous record set by PSY who had the most number 1s on iTunes chart. The previous record-holder “Gangnam Style” had 86 NO.1s on iTunes and BTS broke that, they’re currently sitting at 91, a record-breaking number and a first for a Korean act.

BTS also topped various Korean realtime charts with their new single. As of 04:30 am KST, the track claimed No. 1 on Melon, Bugs, Soribada, and FLO, while it took No. 2 on Genie.

Alongside that, other BTS tracks have taken over much of the top 10 on realtime chart of Melon, Korea’s largest music platform. Check out the photo below:

The happy news doesn’t end there; BTS will be performing “Black Swan” for the first time on “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” BTS retweeted the happy news to fans; they will perform the track on January 28.
