BLINKs are not happy about the way BLACKPINK Jennie was treated at a recent event and they’ve decided to demonstrate how much they love Jennie by trending hashtags for her.
BLACKPINK was promoting for Samsung at a recent event in Jakarta, Indonesia. Fans were excited about sharing videos and photos from the event, however, they have noticed something terrible happening to Jennie.
During a live stream segment, BLACKPINK members began reading fans’ comments. However, many fans had left disrespectful hateful comments towards Jennie, there were little nice comments about her and she most probably read some of the mean comments left for her.
Fans noticed how Jennie looked visibly upset while reading mean comments that were meant for her, the comments kept popping up during the event. Rose tried to make the atmosphere better by reading a comment that says ‘Jennie I love you,’ to make her feel better, she responded back with ‘I love you, too.’
Many fans noticed how hard Jennie tried to hold back tears during the event.
Jennie receives the most hate among BLACKPINK members, fans have always tried to shower her with positive comments but many continue to spew hate at her for no reason. She looked hurt by those comments at the event. Fans also reported that the MCs were also rude concentrating mostly on the other BLACKPINK members leaving out Jennie and rarely asking her questions.
However, the MC Lee Jeong Hoon put out an explanation on his side to explain what happened and why he didn’t ask Jennie as many questions. He explained that the event organizers, who prepared the material, told him not to ask the members too many questions, he asked for fans’ understanding as this is beyond his control.
Here is his full explanation below:
As a result of what happened, BLINKs decided to trend the hashtag #JennieDeservesBetter to express their love for Jennie and to defend her from the hate comments she received at the event.
