Amber recently sat down for an interview with “CBS This Morning” to discuss the dark side of Kpop and how it deeply affects its artists.

CBS did a segment about the rise of Kpop in the U.S and how it’s taking the world by storm; they also spoke about the death of two of its biggest stars, Goo Hara and Sulli in late 2019.

Amber said,

“You’re told what to do, what to say, what to think.

When they hear you’re getting help they’re like ‘what, why are you getting help? it weird,’ and the stigma against mental health is so strong.”

CBS also touched on how high the suicide rate in South Korea is, it is considered one of the countries who have one of the highest suicide rates, almost double that of the U.S.

Idol Alexa also spoke to CBS and opened up about how intense and demanding schedules can be. CBS also said that Amber thought about why she remains in the industry but keeps going for her friends who are now gone,

Amber concluded,

“The easiest thing that everybody can do is try to be kind to one another.”
