Beloved actress Nam Ji Hyun is finally coming back to the small screen!

On December 10, it was confirmed that Nam Ji Hyun will play the lead role in the upcoming MBC drama “365.”

“365” tells the story of people who go back in time to exactly one year ago in hopes of creating the perfect life for themselves, but instead, they find themselves trapped in a mysterious survival game.

Nam Ji Hyun is taking on the role of Shin Ga Hyun, a webtoon artist who has been working on the popular webtoon “Hidden Killer” for the past three years. She is a sensitive perfectionist who can’t let go of one bad comment even if she read thousands of other good comments.

However, she suffers from an accident that alters her life, at that moment she receives an offer to reset her life.

She will be starring opposite Lee Joon Hyuk. Anticipation is rising as it marks her first drama in nearly two years since the very successful drama “100 Days My Prince” in 2018.

“365” will air in March of 2020.

My Personal Thoughts

Nam Ji Hyun looks older than she actually is in real life, but I think it plays to her advantage because she can play older characters just fine unlike other child actors around her age. I think pairing her with Lee Joon Hyuk will be interesting.

Seems like 2020 is going to be about time slip dramas because this is not the first one I heard about today. I personally don’t know how to feel about “365,” Korean dramas with time slip theme never did well in my opinion. They usually fall short and there are so many unexplained avenues and moments that need better thought, the script is usually poorly developed after a certain point.

But if it’s only going back in time once then it’s an interesting idea rather than going back over and over again to repeat the same scenario, it gets boring after a while.

It’ll be interesting to see how they spin this. Lee Joon Hyuk is very underrated, I am glad he’s leading his own drama. Nam Ji Hyun chooses interesting projects; I can’t wait to see how this turns out.
