[BREAKING] Jung Joon Young And Choi Jong Hoon Sentenced To Prison On Charges Of Aggravated Rape

A dark chapter is finally over!

Jung Joon Young and Choi Jong Hoon have been both sentenced for their crimes.

On November 29, judge Kang Sung Soo of the Seoul Central District Court delivered the verdict against five individuals including Jung Joon Young and Choi Jong Hoon.

Jung Joon Young and Choi Jong Hoon have been sentenced for charges on Aggravated Rape (rape involving two or more perpetrators).

Jung Joon Young was sentenced to six years in prison, while Choi Jong Hoon was sentenced to five years in prison. They were found guilty of sexually assaulting an individual who was incapable of resisting. They will have to undergo 80 hours in a sexual violence rehabilitation program and will face restrictions of employment for five years in any organization that deals and/or is related to children. However, the prosecution request to put the five defendants under protective supervision was denied.

The five individuals including Jung Joon Young and Choi Jong Hoon were all charged with aggravated rape in Gangwon Province in January 2016 and in Daegu in March 2016. They’re also charged with filming and spreading illegally taken footage during that time.

K-netizens are split, some are happy they will be going to prison while others demand their prison sentence to be a lot more, many think it’s not enough.

Jung Joon Young and Choi Jong Hoon were silent during the last trial and would sigh every once and a while, they reportedly both broke into tears and started sobbing upon hearing their sentence.

What do you think of their prison sentence?

  1. They should have thought about, the consciences before committing a crime such as sexual assault, aggravated rape etc. Not only that but also thought about their own lives and what they wanted to do… more or less their crimes are unfortunate.

  2. The sentence should have been harsher like in other developed countries or even their closes neighbour China. However knowing how South Korea lawmaker are, I believe they may even be release on probation before the sentence has been fully carried out.

  3. This is good news it’s ok if some people think they need to be sentenced more time. And I agree but imagine if they weren’t sentenced so it’s better to not disagree. So we should just be happy like YAY they are in prison and I hope they rott in there or get karma back.
