The situation regarding the rigging controversy for Mnet Produce series continues to get worse by the minute and its deeply affecting currently promoting produce groups X1 And IZ*ONE.

Due to recent revelations and the arrest of two producers who worked on Mnet’s produce series, IZ*ONE’s comeback, which was scheduled to drop on November 11, has been postponed; their appearances on various variety shows were either edited out or won’t air.

Some netizens have demanded both groups disband for various reasons, some logical while others were less convincing. Some want them to disband in order to save them from getting hate, they’re afraid their careers will continue to be deeply affected by the news, others want them to disband because of the alleged reports of current members taking over spots of the actual deserving trainees, which is unfair to the rest of the trainees who should’ve ended in their spots.

In response to those reports about the controversy, a blue house petition was created, it demanded a ban be placed on IZ*ONE and X1 broadcast activities following their controversy. It was created on November 7. The person who created it thinks that IZ*ONE carrying on with comeback preparations despite the ongoing controversy is ‘mocking’ the public.

As you’d expect, the petition is not popular and many fans and spectators condemned such unnecessary petition aimed to drag the groups down. The petition only has about 1700~ signatures as of this writing.

In response to that petition, fans created their own in defense of their idols, against the disbandment of the groups and in refusal of halting their activities. This petition has garnered more than 16,000 signatures as of this writing.

What do you think of these petitions? Do you think they can make a difference?

  1. The saddest part here is the petition come from the Blue House. The Blue House who served as the voice of power ban 23 young artist who’s only dream is only to become a successful artist.

    1. the petition did not come from the blue house.. it came from a civilian who is petitioning to the blue house.. their president created a portal site wherein civilians can make a petition to the blue house as a means of communication to the public..

  2. Cmon those young idols did nothing wrong they are very young, really all of them, I’m afraid that these idols might get a mental breakdown and affect their future ,,as a young artists they have many thing to achieve in the future

  3. I’m more concerned for the Japanese members cause there now way they have any influence with the rigging.I dont its even possible for them bribe the producer. This could hurt the relation between Japan and Korea entertainment business
