Kai Knows That EXO-Ls Are Worried About SuperM Project, Says This About EXO Comeback

EXO will be making a comeback this year!

On October 2, SuperM held a press conference to promote their debut, they’re one of a kind project group from SM that includes SHINee’s Taemin, EXO’s Baekhyun and Kai, NCT 127’s Taeyong and Mark, and WayV’s Lucas and Ten.

Baekhyun seems to be aware of EXO-Ls worries, as he states that ‘our fans worry about us a lot,’ he says,

“Fans say, ‘if you promote with SuperM, are you not promoting with your own team?’ but we’re super. It’ll be difficult, but we will promote with both teams simultaneously.”

When asked if EXO has comeback plans, Kai confirmed that there are plans for EXO to come back this year,

“EXO will be EXO and SuperM will be SuperM. We will work hard to promote in each of our groups.”

SuperM will make their debut on October 4 at 6 p.m. KST with their first mini-album and the title track “Jopping.”

Previously, SM Entertainment’s co-CEO, Kim Young Min sat down for an interview with The Korea Economic Daily to discuss various topics around the agency, its plans for the rest of 2019 as well as 2020. He announced that EXO will make a comeback before this year ends.

My Personal Thoughts

So the members are aware of how some of their fans are reacting to SuperM.

I like dissecting the marketing and business aspect of it because it’s in my line of work. The idea is actually genius but man the timing and the execution couldn’t have gone more terribly.

I still stand by my opinion, I don’t like the idea of SuperM with these members and think SM is just trying too hard to rival BTS in the American market because they see the potential.

I don’t know how on earth will Baekhyun and Kai manage both groups, SM had previously said EXO will be coming back and now the members also say the same thing but only yesterday, SM announced that SuperM will be going on a tour, when will the members have enough time to rest and to carry on activities in two distinct different groups? I just don’t understand the human part of it? or does it not matter?

I’d be shocked if SM actually cared.

I remain skeptic but hopeful, if SuperM works out and generates good money; I highly doubt SM will prioritize the existing members’ groups as well as they did before.
