It is been rumored that veteran rapper MC Mong new song “Fame” was a diss in response to BIGBANG T.O.P’s diss in his song, “Turn It Up.”
To understand why many fans started assuming that MC Mong was taking a jab at T.O.P, we must go back to 2010. Back when T.O.P released his song “Turn It Up,” there was a scene and a line that says,
“Monkey magic. You can’t see with your eyes open.”
The MV features a monkey and T.O.P can also be seen holding a pair of fake teeth and taking out one of them in reference to MC Mong controversy, MC Mong is often referred to as a monkey, he was involved in one of the biggest military enlistment controversies, it was reported that he tried to remove his teeth to receive exemption back in 2010.
MC Mong new song “Fame” has lines that people interpreted to be a diss at T.O.P, like “Boom xhakaklaka,” and “I don’t do drugs, so sell them elsewhere.” Many assumed he was referring to T.O.P drug scandal back in 2017.

However, it seems to have been false and merely speculations by netizens all along. That’s because MC Mong himself denied that the song was a diss towards T.O.P.
He shared a snippet of an article to his Instagram and denied that he dissed him, he wrote,
“I haven’t even thought about T.O.P and have never hated him. I don’t diss anyone and why would I? I am saying this again?”
T.O.P used to train under MC Mong’s agency before switching to YG Entertainment.
