BTS J-Hope Becomes The 3rd Korean Artist To Ever Enter Billboard HOT 100

BTS J-Hope solo track “Chicken Noodle Soup” is a smashing success!

On October 7 (local time), Billboard revealed that J-Hope and Becky G’s “Chicken Noodle Soup” has debuted at No. 81 on the Hot 100 for the week of October 12. This is a huge accomplishment for J-Hope, it puts him in a new league, he’s only the 3rd Kpop artist to debut on Billboard HOT 100, the other two artists being PSY and CL. He is also the first of his group to enter the HOT 100 with a solo track.

According to Nielsen Music’s data, “Chicken Noodle Soup” achieved 9.7 million streams in the United States as well as 11,000 downloads from September 28 to October 4.

Despite the short notice, ARMY did their best to help “Chicken Noodle Soup” rank high on many charts, shortly after its release, it topped many iTunes songs charts around the world, he also became the second Korean solo artist to enter the Top 100 of the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart.

J-Hope also topped Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart for the second time with “Chicken Noodle Soup.” He first topped it with his previous release last year “Daydream” from his solo mixtape “Hope World.”
