Fans have been waiting for this moment, the moment SuperM reveals their leader!

We’re less than a month away from the highly anticipated debut of SuperM. The upcoming SM group project is set to debut on October 4 in the United States. The group consists of SHINee’s Taemin, EXO members Baekhyun and Kai, and NCT members Taeyong, Mark, Ten, and Lucas.

Fans were wondering who will be the leader of the group, the first obvious choice would be Taemin who is the senior artist in the group, he’s been active for a long time. Many assumed he would take on the leader role, but that’s not what he wants.

On September 11 (local time), Taemin greeted fans with a Live Instagram; he was joined by the rest of SuperM. The boys discussed lots of things and decided who the next leader should be.

Baekyun was the one who brought up the conversation about who the leader should be and nominated Taemin who immediately declined it as soon as Baekhyun said it.

Despite being the senior artist of the group, Taemin is actually not the oldest, the oldest member is Baekyun. Taemin himself says that Baekyun hyung takes good care of all of them and that he thinks he should be the leader, Baekhyun welcomed the idea,

“Leader… its not a bad idea.”

What do you guys think of this? Do you think Baekhyun would suit the leader role?
