It started back in June of 2019, fans of MOMOLAND feared that Yeonwoo had left her group after noticing she had not been promoting with her group for a month. She’s been inactive since May 2019.

Back In June of 2019, fans became so frantic that they demanded the agency release an official statement to explain whether she left or not, the agency denied the reports and explained she’s preparing to film an upcoming drama. Yoenwoo also posted an explanation to the group’s fan café.

Finally, two months later, MLD Entertainment decided that it was time to explain the actual reason for her absence, they released a statement on August 19 which translates to:

“This is MLD Entertainment.

Here is our official statement regarding our artist, MOMOLAND’s Yeonwoo.

Yeonwoo has been consistently receiving treatment and is overcoming her panic disorder ahead of filming for tvN’s ‘Cheap Cheonlima Mart.’

Please support her. Thank you!”

Yeonwoo will be making her acting debut in the upcoming tvN drama playing the main male lead daughter. “Cheap Cheonlima Mart” will air on September 20.

  1. Unfortunately the Korean industry is known as the Hunger Games. So sad they have a lot of kpop singers suffering from many mental illnesses. They are under a lot of pressure. They have a lot of stigma when it comes to mental health, as a society and musical industry they need to help them is totally ridiculous how many people are suffering from mental health in South Korea. The pressure is horrible. I really hope she gets the help

  2. i’m an avid fan of lee dabin, i do hope n pray that she will get well soon, hoping that mld entertainment would give thier artist enough time to unwind after thier hectic schedule, hope to see my lee dabin soon. missed her so much!
