What fans have been demanding for a while is finally happening; the boys will be going on an extended official period of rest!

On August 11, BTS performed at LOTTE DUTY FREE FAMILY CONCERT which marked their final scheduled event before they started their official vacation.

This is a huge event and marks the first time in their debut that they’re taking such a long extended vacation. The boys have been working hard for all of those years and ARMY couldn’t have been happier to hear the news.

On the same day, Big Hit released an official statement to their twitter account announcing the happy news, they stated,

“Hello. This is Big Hit Entertainment.

We would like to announce that for the first time since their debut, BTS will be going on an official and extended period of rest and relaxation.

Today’s LOTTE DUTY FREE FAMILY CONCERT performance will mark the last scheduled event before the members prepare to take their vacations.

This period of rest will be an opportunity for the members of BTS, who have relentless driven themselves towards their goal since their debut, to recharge and prepare to present themselves anew as musicians and creators. This will also provide them with a chance to enjoy the ordinary lives of young people in their 20s, albeit briefly.

During this time, the members will rest and recharge in their own personal ways.”

They also asked any fan who happens to encounter them while they’re on break to be considerate,

“Should you have a chance encounter with a member of BTS while they are on vacation, we ask that you show consideration for their need to rest and enjoy their private time off.”

They closed their statement with,

“BTS will return refreshed and recharged to return all the love you have and continue to show them.

Thank you.”

The news was celebrated by ARMY, they trended two hashtags worldwide, #RestWellBTS and #HappyVacationBTS.

Big Hit did not specify the exact period of rest they’ll be getting but fans presume it’ll be well over a month. Their Saudi Arabia concert is two months away, so it could also be two months.

Wishing BTS all the best! Rest Well!
