GOT7 Jackson has dealt with his fair share of racist comments and comments by netizens asking him if he’ll ever leave GOT7 and others asking him bluntly to leave.

On May 23rd GOT7 members Jackson, Youngjae, and Jinyoung held a V live session to interact with fans ahead of their M Countdown comeback stage, they came back with a new album “SPINNING TOP: BETWEEN SECURITY & INSECURITY” along with the title track “ECLIPSE.”

While reading the comments and interacting with fans, one comment said,

“So funny, when Jackson speaks in Korean he still sounds Ching.”

Here is the video:

For those who are unaware, Ching refers to Ching Chong which was a term used by westerners to make fun and imitate how Asian language sounds and/or how Asians sound when they try to speak English.

As expected, Jackson had the classiest response to that netizen, he replied with,

“You know what? You know what? No negative comments okay? Let’s stay positive, let’s show a lot of love. Let’s love more than hate, alright.”

The video segment has gone viral since then and was shared by various GOT7 fans who were irritated by the racist comment towards Jackson; they also applauded Jackson for his swift and polite response to the rude comment.

The video also made its way to China and Jackson became a trending topic on Weibo.

Twitter account Jackson Wang Global translated some comments on the post that garnered lots of attention, read below:

My Personal Thoughts

Jackson has always been one of my favorite idols, and that’s because of his actions when he’s on and off camera.

I respect him as a human being and an artist. I have seen him grow so much over the years and I am sure his mother is proud of him, she raised a gentleman.

I don’t understand the negativity. Like…why are you watching a live broadcast if you don’t like Jackson or if you find him annoying? If he annoys you, just focus on your favs.

That was such a rude useless comment that I bet hurt his feelings, but I like how he explained it to Youngjae who oblivious to what it meant. Just classy all around, how can you not love him?
