One of the biggest Korean actors is finally back from the military.

Ji Chang Wook was discharged on April 27; fans have been waiting for his return patiently for the past two years.

Fans have been wondering what his plan will be following his military discharge, so here I am with the answer.

His first official confirmed activity with his fans will be through a fan meeting that will be held on May 19, the fan meeting is titled Invitation: Late Spring, Early Night.”

A source from his agency revealed in an official statement that he wants to communicate and interact with his fans for the first time since his military discharge through a fan meeting.

But what about his comeback plans?

So far, there is nothing confirmed by his agency.

There have been various reports that claimed he is confirmed for a drama project but his agency had always stated he was still looking over scripts.

He is in talks to lead the upcoming tvN drama “Make Me Melt.”

The drama is a sci-fi romantic drama about a man and a woman who participate in a human freezing experiment for 24 hours but they wake up 20 years later due to a mysterious incident.

One of the side effects of the experiment is that they have to maintain their body at a temperature of 27.5 degrees Celsius. Ji Chang Wook has been offered the role of Ma Dong Chan, a PD of a variety show who undergoes the experiment. He’s logical and cold when it comes to work but sweet and passionate when it comes to love.

The drama is scheduled to air in the second half of 2019.

That’s not the only reported project he’s currently in talks for, he’s also in talks to lead another interesting project, “City of Stars.”

“City of Stars” will be directed by Jang Jin, it’s a story about a space drama where two guys who have always dreamt of reaching the skies end up being selected to be part of an astronaut training project.

The drama will be completely pre-produced and is scheduled to air in the second half of 2019.

His agency also revealed in official statements that he’s been given a lot of scripts, so there are naturally more scripts offered to him than the ones publicly stated.

Since Ji Chang Wook is more active in dramas, fans expect that he’ll come back with a drama rather than a movie.
