On March 13, the 2016 incident when his girlfriend accused him of filming her during their intercourse without her consent came to light. SBS News again reported chat logs of Jung Joon Young and the police officer that was in charge of his case.
The police officer was accused of requesting that a digital forensics company get rid of Jung Joon Young’s cell phone, the key evidence of the case. There is an investigation going on regarding these suspicions.
Back then, the singer was found not guilty. The two parties ended up settling and no charges were filed. According to Soompi, the police couldn’t prove he had filmed a part of her body in a way that makes her feel sexually violated, thus he was acquitted.

Seungri has another controversy surrounding him but in this article, I will discuss only the kakaotalk, not the burning sun.
On February 26, SBS funE released text messages from December 2015 exchanged between Seungri and Former CEO of Yuri Holdings (an investment company Seungri was preparing to establish), and an employee. They were discussing offering escort service to foreign investors.

In chat logs with a person identified as CEO A, he discusses gambling abroad and gives advice. (Read the chat log here)
According to Koreaboo, his lawyer says CEO A scammed him of more than $1.7 million and the messages revealed by Sisa Journal were the results of Seungri falling for A’s trap.
On March 14, Seungri reported to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for his second investigation, he left 16 hours later and announced his plans to request a delay in his military enlistment.
On March 14, Sisa Journal revealed chatlogs between him and A discussing the profiles of various women (age, jobs, personalities, etc.), it seems they were planning to bring them to a trip to Indonesia.
Continuous reports about Seungri’s involvement in prostitution keep coming to light; a new report comes out every day detailing more chat logs of Seungri discussing the subject.
A lot of Korean news outlets are reporting about new chatroom conversations each day.
Choi Jong Hoon
Choi Jong Hoon initially denied involvement after chatroom conversations reported on a male celebrity with surname Choi back in March 11. FNC initially announced their plans to take legal actions against the spreading of fake news.
On March 14, his agency FNC Entertainment announced in an official statement that he will be leaving the group and the entertainment industry following severe backlash for his alleged involvement in Seungri and Jung Joon Young ongoing controversy.
He was also caught in the drunk driving incident back in 2016 which he’s suspected of having asked the police to cover up and block reports from leaking to the media. Various reports by Korean media showed chatroom conversation of him talking about covering up his DUI incident with Seungri and Mr. Yoo.
According to News outlet Newsis, he has been booked as a suspect by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Provincial Special Detective Division team on March 15.
He is now a suspect and will be investigated for allegedly sharing photos of a woman in a group chatroom. He has been booked on suspicion of spreading illegal photos/videos.
This is not the only thing he’s being investigated for right now; he is also being investigated for the suspicion of covering up his drunken driving incident in 2016 which only became known the past couple of days.
There is suspected involvement of the police, according to chat logs, Seungri was praising Mr. Yoo In Suk for helping cover up the incident using a lot of money and his connections.
He will be investigated tomorrow on March 16 at 10 a.m. KST.
Mr. Yoo In Suk
Mr. Yoo In Suk, now the former CEO of Yuri Holdings has also initially denied all the allegations against him through his company and also promised legal action, they called the messages fabricated.
On March 15, his company revealed he had resigned and his position has been given to someone else.
He has been investigated on March 14 along with Seungri and Jung Joon Young. He is suspected to have helped out Choi Jong Hoon in covering up his DUI incident back in 2016 as revealed by chatroom conversations.

Yong Junhyung left his group Highlight and admitted to seeing these illicit videos and engaging in conversations about them but denied his involvement in filming or spreading such videos/photos. He and his agency released official responses to clarify his level of involvement and announce his departure from the group.
CNBLUE’s Lee Jong Hyun
Lee Jong Hyun at first denied his involvement through his agency, FNC even promised legal action against the false reports a couple of days ago.
On March 14, disgusting details of chatroom conversations between him and Jung Joon Young were reported by SBS News.
The report shared that Lee Jong Hyun received sexual videos of women in a one-on-one chatroom with Jung Joon Young and talked about women in a degrading manner.
On March 15, FNC returned with a second statement that infuriated fans. They wrote,
“We had no intentions of hiding the truth or covering up wrongdoings.”
The agency says he’s regretful and deeply apologizes to the fans and the members whom he disappointed with his actions.
The agency closed their statement with the remark that angered everybody, they said he’ll be more careful in the future and will reflect on his wrongdoings and accept all punishment for what he had done.
This statement didn’t sit well with fans who think he deserves to be kicked out of his group for talking about women in such a degrading manner and initially denying the truth despite his involvement.
‘Deeply reflecting and feeling apologetic’ is not enough for fans of CNBLUE. DC CNBLUE Gallery released a statement on March 15 demanding the removal (not suspension) of him from the group and FNC.
The fan community says he disgraced his members with his actions and tarnished the reputation of CNBLUE and FNC Entertainment.
FNC Entertainment has yet to respond to fans’ request. The fan community refuses to consume any of Lee Jong Hyun activities from now on. The majority of international audience shares the same sentiment after reading the horrific chatroom conversations.
