“DDU-DU DDU-DU” Is Now Officially The Most Watched Kpop Group Music Video Overtaking BTS’s “DNA”

BLACKPINK continues to break records with their hit track “DDU-DU DDU-DU” that had already broken so many YouTube records since its release back in June 2018.

Recently, it became the fastest Kpop group MV to reach the 600 million views breaking BTS’s record with “DNA,” nevertheless; BTS’s “DNA” holds the record of the first Kpop group MV to reach the huge milestone.

As of this writing, BLACKPINK “DDU-DU DDU-DU” has accumulated a total of 621,629,412 views which makes it the most viewed Kpop group music video across the board (not to be confused with solo Kpop release, the record is still held by PSY).

BTS’s “DNA” is trailing shortly behind with 619,630,794 views.

It’s very rare in Kpop for a female group to rival the YouTube records of their male counterparts, which makes this new turn of events very memorable. Its also an indication of a shift, people are now paying as much interest in girl groups as they do with boy groups.

Although the statics can change since the gap is about 3 million in views, its still interesting to witness such a shift.
