After initially stating they’d be looking into the matter, SM Entertainment has returned with an official statement to the press, the couple has indeed broken up.
On January 25, they told the press,
“It is true that Kai and Jennie have broken up.”
The agency added that the timing and the reason for the breakup is unknown.
The couple has only publicly revealed their relationship 25 days ago and have been reportedly dating since October.
YG Entertainment is yet to release an official response.
