Is BTS moving out of their dorms? Some seem to think so!

On January 28, Biz Hankook reported that the maknae of BTS has purchased his own apartment for reportedly 1.95 billion Won (approx. $1.75 million).

This makes Jungkook the fourth known BTS member to have purchased an apartment. I previously reported that Suga also bought his own apartment in the luxurious UN Village back in August 2018.

Jin had also bought his own apartment back in March 2018; J-Hope also bought an apartment back in 2016 (in the same unit as Jungkook). He had taken out a loan from Woori Bank and paid it back in full before 2018 ended.

Publicly, there are four BTS members who have purchased their own living space, which prompted some ARMY to believe that the boys might not be sharing the same space anymore.

However, following the reports of Jungkook purchasing his own apartment, Big Hit Entertainment released a vague statement where they explained they couldn’t confirm or deny the news of Jungkook purchasing an apartment but did say that BTS are still living in the dorm together,

“We think it’s better to not to talk about the members’ future living arrangements as it’s a matter of privacy.”

BTS are some of the few known boy groups who continue to share the same space despite their immense success. Usually, idols move out of their dorms by the fifth year on average, that’s when most idols of groups purchase their own living spaces and separate from their group members.

BTS is approaching their 6th year since their debut back in 2013; they’re some of the rare Kpop groups who still haven’t moved out of their dorms despite their huge success.

Some ARMY are slightly taken back by the continuous news of BTS members buying apartments but since Big Hit did confirm that the members are still sharing the same space, the fandom calmed down.

Due to their immense popularity and the income they generate yearly, its only expected that in the future more news of BTS members purchasing their own apartments roam the web.

  1. I think it’s great that they’re buying their own apartments. I don’t have an opinion on whether they should continue living together or not, but I think it’s smart to be purchasing real estate since they can afford to and the value is likely to increase.

  2. There’ll always be around each other. When you think about it, an individual needs extra space for themselves especially if you’re accumulating extra things. Living in a room sometimes is not enough no matter how big it is. The apartments could be a place to stash their belongings or a place to gather with family. Tbh I’d get an apartment too if i had bts moneyBut how are they just walking around with millions in cash? Rich people hobby

  3. I don’t know why so many ARMIEs were upset at this news. Their getting older and like the article states many Kpop Groups have moved out of their groups by their 5th year. Their still friends and are still BTS. I love the rational comments I see however.

  5. It was actually a wise decision to buy their own apartment- they also need their own special space for themselves and their family. But Im pretty sure they will miss each other so they tend to maybe stay in one place most of the time in the future. Hahaha. They will be together for a long time though it doesnt change the fact that they are family. Regular people even leave their parents house why not them right? lol

  6. Just leave where they live alone it’s not surprising except how much money THIS BOY SPENT but it’s for their privacy LEAVE IT ALONE

    THANK YOU ^×^

  7. Im sorry but why shouldnt grown ups get their own homes I agree that they should live together as a group durring promotions …but i think its finally time Army thought about BTS and not themselfs they want to live love and be happy too personal space is something us nobodies take for granted if i were BTS id want some too. Lastly why should your support be conditional support them always if they are ready to leave the BigHit nest let them
