As reported previously, MAMAMOO Hwasa’s red outfit at 2018 MAMA in Japan caused quite the stir among netizens. Some reacting positively to the outfit while others said they were too embarrassed to watch the show with their family members.
The outfit and her performance went viral in South Korea, she became number one searched celebrity in realtime searches in Naver, many articles about her outfit and performance took the internet by storm.
In response to that, MAMAMOO’s agency RBW released an official statement addressing the outfit, they said,
“We didn’t know that the outfit would be such a hot topic of discussion. We chose the outfit that fit well with the song playing on stage, as usual.”
