IU Pays Tribute To SHINee’s Jonghyun At Her 10th Anniversary Concert In Singapore

IU held a memorial for her good friend the late SHINee’s Jonghyun at her recent concert!

On December 16, according to Taiwan’s ET Today News, IU was touring for her 10th anniversary and sang her song “Gloomy Clock” on her December 15 concert in Singapore.





She revealed that this wasn’t in her set list but she wanted to sing the song that was composed by her good friend Jonghyun, she said in English,

“The next song actually wasn’t on my set list, but I prepared it because I’ve been thinking about this one a lot recently. This song has been a great comfort to me since the moment I met it.”

She also asked fans to change their light stick to SHINee’s official color, pearl aqua.

She also said before she sang,

“This song is for someone I really miss.”





It is known that Jonghyun composed that song and IU previously said she fell in love with the song and begged him to let her buy it, it was a part of her 2013 album “Modern Times,” he also featured on the song.

The two are known for being close friends, December 18 will mark a year since the sudden tragic death of Jonghyun.

IU had also changed her MIC as well to a similar color that matches the group’s official color.

Fans were moved by her nice gesture but also broken remembering the passing of one of the best idols there were!

We miss you Jonghyun!
