Its not a lie to say that YG Entertainment artists ruled Melon Charts in 2018.
On November 22, Melon released their official rankings of the entire year for songs topping the daily charts for the longest time, TOP 100 songs that stayed on the list for the longest time, and songs that had the most real-time listeners on Melon charts.
The top 3 songs that topped the daily charts for the longest time were BLACKPINK’s “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du,” it came at number one followed by iKON’s “Love Scenario” and BIGBANG’s “Flower Road” at number 3.
“Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” remained at the top spot for 29 days while “Love Scenario” and “Flower Road” stayed 21 days and 17 days, respectively.
As for songs that stayed on the top 100 list for the longest time, MOMOLAND’s “Bboom Bboom” came in number one, it had stayed on the chart for 289 days straight followed by Chung Ha’s “Roller Coaster” which stayed on the chart for 285 days, the 3rd spot went for iKON’s “Love Scenario” which stayed on the chart for 280 days straight.
As for songs that had the most real-time listeners, IU’s “BBIBBI” attracted 53,854 listeners on November 11th at 8:10 P.M KST which earned it the first spot. The second spot was snagged by BIGBANG who attracted 51,301 listeners on March 14th at 8:10 P.M KST with “Flower Road.” BTS came in 3rd place with 47,077 users tuning in to hear “Fake Love” on May 18th at 6:00 P.M KST.
