On a recent episode of MBC’s documentary “Exploring the Truth,” they told the story of a patient with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). The documentary followed her around on her daily difficult life.

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke describes the illness as a chronic (lasting greater than six months) pain condition that most often affects one limb (arm, leg, hand, or foot) usually after an injury.  CRPS is believed to be caused by damage to, or malfunction of, the peripheral and central nervous systems.  The central nervous system is composed of the brain and spinal cord; the peripheral nervous system involves nerve signaling from the brain and spinal cord to the rest of the body.  CRPS is characterized by prolonged or excessive pain and changes in skin color, temperature, and/or swelling in the affected area.

During the show, the girl opened up about her struggles with her illness and how much it got in the way of her living a normal life. She also relies on medicine to be able to live.

During the show, she revealed she was a fan of EXO and picked Baekhyun as her favorite member because he can sing and dance well. The staff of the documentary prepared a sweet surprise for her, she opened her laptop and there was Baekhyun sending her a message of encouragement.

He said,

“Hi. I am EXO’s Baekhyun. I have heard about Yoojin and her pain. EXO will always work hard to show you great performances so we can give you energy. You as well, Yoojin, receive your treatment well and hopefully in the near future you can come to our concert to have fun, you know that right? Because Yoojin is a precious EXO-L. Fighting Yoojin!”

Fans praised Baekhyun for his kind heart and for sending Yoojin a sweet message. I hope she gets well soon so she can attend EXO’s concert.
