For those who have been waiting for an update of whats going on with HyunA and E’Dawn, there is finally news about them.
On October 5, Ilgan Sports, a Korean news outlet, reported that HyunA and E’Dawn are leaving Cube Entertainment.
A source told Ilgan Sports that HyunA is finalizing her contract in order to leave the agency because she wasn’t able to fix the conflict between her and the label that rose when they announced that she has been kicked out without notifying her.
A source had previously revealed that HyunA and E’Dawn found out they were kicked off the label through the media, fans didn’t like the way the agency does business and their stock price dropped because of that.
The report continues to explain that HyunA and Cube Entertainment are in the process of organizing the cases of the renewed advertisement contracts as well as balancing the accounts.
The source also added that Cube Entertainment’s board has conflicting ideas about HyunA’s case by it looks like they won’t be able to fix the conflict with her, the atmosphere feels like they are wrapping things up.
The source added,
“There isn’t a lot of time left in her contact so they are naturally wrapping things up.”
The report also claims that HyunA told her close friends that she thinks her relationship with Cube is now over.
HyunA was the only 4minute former member who renewed her contract with Cube Entertainment back in 2016 when all the rest of her former girl group members left.
Back on September 13, Cube Entertainment suddenly announced they were kicking out both HyunA and E’Dawn citing ‘broken trust’ as the main issue. After the severe backlash over their decision, the agency retracted their claim and instead said they were still discussing the contract.
Fans have been waiting for so long but HyunA and E’Dawn, as well as Cube Entertainment, didn’t release any official statements, yet.
Fans are now eagerly waiting to see what the final verdict will be; some believe that HyunA and E’Dawn will probably be leaving the agency.
