BLACKPINK’s Jennie might become the first BLACKPINK member to debut as a soloist, her debut might even be dropping before 2018 ends.
On October 18, Korean news outlet Sports Donga reported that Jennie is preparing for her solo debut album with the intention of releasing it in November; they came to this conclusion according to their research.
The report also says that she has already filmed the music video for her debut track when she was in Europe not too long ago. Jennie is reportedly working on preparing a lot of content for fans.
According to Sports Donga, YG Entertainment is planning on announcing the news to fans soon.
It has been two years since BLACKPINK debuted, they debuted back in August 2016 and found instant success with their releases they have become one of the biggest Korean girl groups.
Their recent track “DDU-DU DDU-DU” was a splashing success and their most successful release to date. Jennie is the main rapper and vocalist of this group, she is considered the face of her group and is known for her fashion sense and charisma on stage.
The group is holding their first solo concert in Seoul this upcoming November 10-11.
