Seems like Hyosung is finally freed from her agency TS Entertainment, at least for now!

The contract has been temporarily and indefinitely suspended by the court.

On September 27, Korean news outlet Star News reported that the Seoul Western District Court has decided to suspend the former Secret member Hyosung’s contract with her agency TS Entertainment.

This means that Hyosung will now be able to resume her activities again without the involvement of TS Entertainment.

Last year September, she sued TS Entertainment for not paying her and for violating the contract clauses, she has been in a battle with them ever since and asked for nullification of her contract. The agency denied the allegations back then.

TS Entertainment lawyer told news outlets a while ago that they have no intention whatsoever to come to an agreement with Hyosung saying,

“Concluding the case as the plaintiff pleases is the same thing as us not being able to operate as an entertainment company anymore.”

Hyosung had also confirmed that she won’t be returning to Secret or her agency through her lawyer.

However, this isn’t the first Secret former member who had a legal issue with the agency. Previously member Jieun submitted a request to the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board to verify that her contract is no longer valid due to TS Entertainment not following the terms of the contract that was back in August 2017.

On February 8, the court ruled in Jieun’s favor and declared that her contract was invalid.

For Hyosung, there is another trial that is taking place on October 12.
