Following the initial reports, it has finally been confirmed, YG Entertainment Sub label The Black Label is now Jeon Somi’s new agency.
On September 24, The Black Label confirmed that Jeon Somi is now one of its trainees in a statement, they said,
“We have signed an exclusive contract with Jeon Somi who has proven her talent as an artist and has infinite potential, we will give full support to her so she can become a top artist with various trials and activities.”
They also revealed that its most likely she’ll debut as a solo artist instead of a group member so she can debut quicker.
Jeon Somi first became known to the public through JYP survival show “SIXTEEN” she then participated in Mnet’s hit survival variety show “Produce 101” and debuted as a member of I.O.I.
After the group disbanded, she went on to appear in various variety shows.
