The leader of BTS is considered one of the best Korean rappers today; he is beloved by national and international fans for his swag, great personality and rapping style.
However, the leader and rapper of BTS once opened up about a time when he actually regretted becoming an idol, shocking his fans who had always thought it was his dream.
In a radio broadcast, he admitted that before he debuted he regretted becoming an idol because he saw all his good friends enrolling in good universities while he was still training to be an idol.
One of his good friends who had similar grades as him actually ended up enrolling in Seoul’s university which is considered one of the best Korean universities.
He said that it was before he debuted but assured fans that right now its different for him, he doesn’t regret it anymore.
RM is known for being really good at studying he once said,
“When I was in the middle school I was an honor student and I was also the type of person who wanted to be class president but I got into the company and my life as a trainee started. So I just went to school to sleep (laughs). Before entering the company I also had very good results and had the chance to enter the top 1% of the nation, but after I entered the company, I fell to 2nd~3rd position.”
We’re glad that RM isn’t regretful about that time anymore!
