Kpop and kdrama fans were very happy today after news of the new military discharge dates for their idols were announced. It’s a part of The Ministry of National Defense new reform; they announced that the length of mandatory military service would be reduced.

Since BIGBANG members fit the period of soldiers to receive this new reduction, I thought it would be a good idea to share the new dates with all my VIP friends.

For T.O.P who enlisted back on February 9, 2017, he will receive the lowest number of reduced days according to the new reform. He will be discharged on July 8, 2019, three days earlier than his original discharge date.

UPDATE: BIGBANG Gdragon Has Finally Been Discharged From The Military, Welcomed By Hundreds Of Fans

For Gdragon, who enlisted back on February 27 of this year, he will be discharged on October 26, 2019, 31 days earlier than his initial discharge date; he was supposed to be discharged on November 26, 2019.

Taeyang who enlisted back on March 12 of this year, he will be discharged on November 10, 2019, instead of November 26, 2019.

Daesung will receive the highest number of reduced days, he enlisted back on March 13 of this year, he will be discharged on November 11, 2019, instead of December 13, 2019, i.e. 32 days earlier.

The new reform is great news, this lessens BIGBANG hiatus period. Seungri who is planning on enlisting later this year will receive even more reduction in his military service period because he enlisted later.

You can read more about the reform here.

What do you think of this? Are you happy?

Have been lobbying for a change in Military enlistment very glad it has finally come true.
This is much better for South Korea and its whole economy.
