Kpop fans were happy when the official FIFA World Cup Twitter posted a tweet asking the world what song they wanted to hear inside the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
The choices were BTS’s “Fake Love,” EXO’s “Power,” J Balvin’s “Mi Gente,” and Zedd’s “The Middle.”
Fans of EXO and BTS went up against each for 24 hours; both fandoms did the best they could to vote for their favorite Kpop group.

After 24 hours passed, and 3,323,207 votes later. The winner was announced to be EXO, the group won by a small margin.
BTS fans were sad that their group didn’t win but also happy to hear that a Kpop song would be playing at the world cup stadium.
However, following the poll, Alex Stone, the social media manager for the World Cup tweeted that both songs will be played at the stadium, he said,

It was revealed that BTS had won the instagram poll, they were up against Avicii’s “Hey Brother,” and K’Naan’s “Waving Flag.”
We were happy to hear one Kpop song play in the stadium but now, we get to hear two Kpop songs. What a time to be alive~
