BTS Takes Home Top Social Artist Award And Performs At 2018 Billboard Music Awards

BTS has won Top Social Artist at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, again!

The group attended the star-studded awards ceremony, they performed their newest hit track “Fake Love” for the first time ever on the awards show, they were nominated for the Top Social Artist alongside some of the biggest international artists: Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and Shawn Mendes.





BTS won by a staggering 98% of the votes, fans voted for BTS on Twitter and on the Billboard site. BTS broke Justin Bieber winning strike, before 2017, he was the winner of the award each year since its inception back in 2011.

BTS were super excited and super happy when they won the award, RM took the center to thank the fans and Billboard, he said,

“Thank you so much to Billboard Music Awards for this precious award two years in a row! This time we had a chance to think about what ‘social’ really means for us and some of our fans told us that our music really changed their lives. And now, we realize that our words truly carry weight thanks to you guys. And ARMYs out there, you guys, your words keep us going and keep us striving!”





BTS became the first Kpop group to perform at Billboard Music Awards and also the first to win two awards. Their national and international fanbase is one of the biggest most dedicated, fans were keen on voting hard for their group to ensure they take home the award last night.

They also performed their newest hit track, and received standing ovation from the crowd, fan chants could be heard loudly as fans cheered on the group first comeback stage with their newest hit track. Check out their full performance below!
