BTS’s latest full album “Love Yourself: Tear” is making fangirls faint, scream, hyperventilate and more.
Many fans are calling this album their best so far, so today, and before those records become broken again by BTS and army, I decided to dedicate a list of all the records and milestones BTS reached with their newest comeback.
It became the fastest Kpop MV to reach 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 million views. BTS broke their own previous record set by DNA, “Fake Love” became the fastest Kpop MV to reach the 10, 20, 30, 40 and most recently 50 million views.
It reached the 50 million views in a record breaking 29 hours and 50 minutes. “Fake Love” is also the most viewed Korean video, most viewed Kpop video and most viewed Kpop group video in the first 24 hours. It’s the fastest Kpop video to reach the 1, 2, 3 and 4 million likes.
It’s also the 5th most viewed online video (refer to all videos on YouTube not only music videos) in 24 hours, and the 2nd most viewed music video in 24 hours, the first place is held by Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do.”
“Fake Love” and “The Truth Untold” ft. Steve Aoki have debuted at #17 and #50 on Spotify’s Global 50 Chart. Making “Fake Love” the highest ranked first day debut by a Korean group on the chart.
“Fake Love” also Broke Melon records. BTS has set a new record for most unique listeners on Melon (Korean’s music charts) within the 1st hour of its release.
The song recorded 107,885 unique listeners within the first hour of its release at 6 p.m. KST, marking it the highest number achieved by any song since Melon’s chart reform in February 2017.
They’re also the first Kpop group to perform at Billboard Music Awards. Also the first Kpop act to guest twice on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
