The YG Entertainment soloist was one of the attendees at day 2 of the “32nd Golden Disc Awards.”
One of her most famous hit tracks, “Breathe” was written by SHINee’s Jonghyun. The late singer took his own life on December 18, Lee Hi was one of the many Kpop stars who were spotted in tears attending his funeral.
Lee Hi was trying so hard to hold back her tears, when she sang the line ‘no one will blame you,’ she stopped and chocked, she couldn’t sing for a whole minute, the orchestra behind her kept playing the instrumental version.
She showed her back to the camera, she was wiping her tears, before she could compose herself and sing again, she finished the song while the audience was cheering her on.
The song “Breathe” has a very special meaning for Lee Hi, as she had previously mentioned on variety shows.
SHINee’s Jonghyun passing is still unbelievable, may his soul rest in peace!
