On January 26, it was revealed that actor Kim Woo Bin will not serve the military because of his health.

On January 26, his agency sidusHQ released a statement regarding the actor’s enlistment in the military, they said,
“Following Kim Woo Bin’s diagnoses with nasopharyngeal cancer last May, he received draft notice from the military manpower Administration not long after he finished his chemotherapy treatment.
He then went to another physical examination, he was judged as Grade 6, thus unable to enlist.”
There are seven grades in total for physical examinations, Grade 6 indicates that the examined is to be exempted from military service due to a disease, mental and/or physical incompetence.
The actor only recently gave update about his health to his fan through his fan café, he assured fans he was okay and that it would take him longer to greet fans again.
