The year is coming to an end, and all those who frequently tune in to YouTube know that its around this time of the year, YouTube releases “YouTube” rewind, a video of the trendiest memes, songs and viral events.
As a part of the YouTube rewind series, YouTube released a specific list of top 10 most popular music videos viewed in Korea in 2017.
The list was constructed based on views, watch time, number of shares, likes, and comments by users of Korea.
Here is the list top 10:
- TWICE “Knock Knock.”
- TWICE “Signal.”
- IU “Palette.”
- PSY “I LUV IT.”
- PSY “New Face.”
- Red Velvet “Red Flavor.”
- Ed Sheeran “Shape Of You.”
- BLACKPINK “As If It’s Your Last.”
- IU’s “Through the Night”
- Akdong Musician “Last Goodbye.”
Yet, two major names were missing of the list.
BTS and EXO were not on the list of the most viewed Kpop music videos, it could be because both giant groups views comes from international fans who proved their loyalty to their groups.
BTS’s fandom had helped them reach new heights in 2017. The fandom helped the group spread their wings in the US and the rest of the world.
