The hit classic drama “Something Happened In Bali” is getting a remake 14 years after its release back in 2004.
On December 28, the production company A STORY confirmed that they’re working on the drama remake, it will be directed by the original director of the drama Choi Mun Seok.
“Something Happened In Bali” is a drama about a travel agent who gets entangled in a love triangle when she meets three people in Bali. The drama was led by Ha Ji Won, Jo In Sung, So Ji Sub, and Park Ye Jin, it shot all of its main cast to stardom.
Are you excited about the remake?
We rarely see remakes of kdramas. My memory of Hollywood remakes are a bit disappointing. I never saw “Something Happened In Bali” so I won’t be able to compare it to the original once the remake airs.
But the entire cast of the drama is a superb and I heard their performances were top notch. The focus of the drama will probably be the main cast. They need to be very careful when choosing the cast not to ruin the original.
