Here Is Why 2017 Was One The Worst Years For Kpop In A Long Time

Published Categorized as kpop Buzz

2017 was shaping out to be a good year, the third generation of Kpop was taking over the world.

BTS were making a name for themselves in America, EXO were breaking many new records set by their sunbaes and had set new records. Blackpink and TWICE also took over the charts in 2017. Everything was supposed to go well….

But of course, Kpop fans or some saesang and netizen can be hella scary and they can ruin your favorite idol like for the stupidest mistakes.

From Taeyeon’s harassment in Jakarta airport, to people claiming that Jackson is leaving GOT7, to BIGBANG’s T.O.P public crucifixion because of marijuana, and SHINee’s Jonghyun death a lot has happened in 2017 that made it one of worst years for Kpop in a long time.

Today, I (jazmine) would like to talk about why 2017 will go down in my memory as one of the worst recent Kpop years. I talked about some of the worst incidents revolving Kpop that happened in 2017.

Check out the full video below.

Let me know what you guys think. Do you believe 2017 was an unfortunate year for Kpop?

Regarding the video and all of the comments I have been getting, I wanted to explain some points.

I couldn’t talk about EVERYTHING wrong that happened this year, I talked about some of the worst incidents. INFINITE’s Hoya departure was especially heartbreaking for me because I loved the group so much, I didn’t get the chance to talk about that because the video was already way too long.

Regarding Onew’s case, I plan on discussing separately in another video and article. It deserves to be highlighted. SHINee has had its worst year to date, a group that has always been good to us fans, we couldn’t be there for them, we couldn’t be there for Jonghyun, after what had happened I just hope that people, fans and haters learn that comments do affect their idols. Give Onew, SHINee and all other idols a damn break…

Thank you for watching, reading and commenting~[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
